Q: What’s your role at Populi, and what does an average day look like for you?

A: My role is Senior Consultant of Provider and Market Intelligence. I actively partner with our clients to maximize their utilization and insights gained from our products. My day can include any number of tasks such ase partnering step-by-step with a client on a particular use case or collaborating with my teammates on a particular project.

Q: What do you like most about working for Populi?

A: Claims data can be nuanced. I enjoy working with our clients to provide insights to tough questions. It’s also interesting to learn from our clients and hear their perspective on the unique challenges facing healthcare. Lastly, it’s fulfilling to hear the positive feedback from our clients on the value of our work and their appreciation for our active support throughout the process.

Q: What do you think is the most important benefit of the detailed healthcare analytics and insights that Populi provides?

A: Historically, the access and transparency of this data has been challenging. The next step of understanding the data and using that expertise to answer key questions is another challenge. Populi provides accessible analytics through integrations and APIs in data science platforms teams use every day. We also have pre-built, easy-to-use, BI templates.

Q: Why should someone join your team at Populi?

A: Populi is a team of committed, talented individuals with extensive experience in this space. We strive to be that partner who actively supports our clients. Everyone takes tremendous pride in the work we’re doing and the value it can add. We also commit to monthly team building events. In the past, we’ve made hot sauces, terrariums, and played Pictionary.

Q: How do you like to spend your free time?

A: As a first-time parent, my free time mostly involves playing with my 16-month-old son. Other than the typical day-to-day adventures, I enjoy watching soccer, basketball and specifically the Green Bay Packers for the NFL. For college, I cheer for the Wisconsin Badgers.

Q: What’s your go-to midnight snack?

A: I noticed that after my son was born, my snacking increased exponentially. For late-night snacks, it’s toast with peanut butter.

Q: If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be and why?

A: Great question! I can think of two items. First, I would love to be a polyglot. I think it’d be amazing to effectively converse with anyone regardless of language. As someone who likes to travel, it would make traveling that much more enjoyable. The second would be a do-it-all handyman (plumbing, electrical, among others). I think it’d be valuable and rewarding to complete this type of work for myself.

Q: What’s your favorite city that you’ve visited?

A: I flew on a plane for the first time my senior year of college. Since then, I’ve enjoyed traveling to cities both inside and outside of the U.S. Edinburgh is a beautiful city that stands out.
